Like the majority of castlevania games, principally some of the earlier games in the series, platforming and hack n slash action are the actual main gameplay elements.While each of the characters have some of their own skills and abilities all wield a type of whip and ultimately are fairly similar in battle.Your whip is available in handy for getting across chasms or lowering/climbing.There are bits of magical items you need to get but honestly you will rarely need them and this gets to the crux of the issue with mirror of fate.

Outside of some truly gorgeous backdrops, the vast majority of visuals in mirror of fate are as muddled as the gameplay.It fails to capture the gourmet dark, gothic beauty of numerous other entries in the series.While it was nice to have a castlevania game only at the 3ds, developer mercury steam had delivered a game that merely doesn live up to its many predecessors.Level:F
